Rex Ryan is desperate enough to want to coach the Redskins

Rex Ryan hasn’t made his desire to be back on an NFL sideline much of a secret.

How much does he want it? Enough to work for oft-maligned Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder, apparently.

On Monday’s edition of “Get Up,” discussing the over the wishes of Gruden and interim coach Bill Callahan.

Who would want to step in the middle of that tension-filled situation?

“Everybody,” Ryan, now an ESPN analyst, said. “I would take it. People are going to be lined up for this job. They absolutely will. And I think everybody’s wrong about this Haskins deal, because I think were going to find out about this kid.”

Ryan, the former Jets head coach who last ran an NFL team in 2016 — a 7-9 season with the Buffalo Bills — might not be on the Redskins’ wishlist yet, but he’s not afraid to make his pitch.
