Man holds up Brooklyn bodega with a BB gun: cops
A masked robber with a BB gun and an itchy trigger finger knocked over a Brooklyn bodega, cops said Tuesday.
Video released by the NYPD shows the gun-toting robber walk into a grocery on Church Avenue near Rockaway Parkway around 9:30 p.m. Jan. 10, wearing a yellow and green mask over his face.
The bandit pulls a long-barreled pistol out of his jacket and levels it at the 28-year-old man working behind the counter, according to the surveillance video.
After demanding money, the triggerman squeezes off a round, hitting the worker above the right eyebrow, cops said and video shows.
The clerk then passes two handfuls of cash over the counter along with a plastic bag, video shows.
The shooter fled down eastbound on Church Avenue, cops said.
The bodega worker was treated for a laceration above his right eyebrow at Brookdale University Medical Center and released, police said.
