A Queens man staged a fake photoshoot with his girlfriend and their four rescue dogs in the middle of a Manhattan street — then surprised her with a wedding proposal written on a passing truck.
“Drivers started honking. Some were saying, ‘Congratulations!’ and others were saying, ‘Get out of the way!’” newly engaged Diana Catherall, 29, told The Post. “It was very New York.”
Catherall of Sunnyside said she was “absolutely clueless” when her boyfriend of two years, Daniel Heydebrand, 31, asked her to help him haul their pooches — a pug, a terrier mix and two Chihuahuas — to Lower Manhattan to meet a photographer friend Saturday.
She packed some “cute outfits in a bag” for the dogs — Fred, Kalie, Leo and Charlie — and the whole gang struck a pose in a crosswalk on Broadway and East Fourth Street.
