Fashion designer Marc Jacobs’ West Village townhouse went into contract on Wednesday — after being back on the market for just one day.
It hit the market on Tuesday for the reduced price of $12 million with Ryan Serhant and Donna Strugatz of Nest Seekers International.
A day later, it was already in contract.
The four-story, 4,796-square-foot home at 400 W. 12th St. has also sneakily been first listed it in April 2019 for $15.9 million.
Jacobs bought the Robert A.M. Stern-designed townhouse for $10.5 million in 2009; it made the cover of Architectural Digest in 2017.
It features five bedrooms, three bathrooms, two powder rooms, a woodburning fireplace, an elevator, and 1,400 square feet of outdoor space divided between a garden courtyard and rooftop terrace. The townhouse also comes with a hefty $7,719 monthly maintenance fee.
Last month, Jacobs sold off the contents of the townhouse through Sotheby’s Home. Objects d’art up for grabs included wooden sheep for $495, an antique brass tree sculpture for $1,250 and a pair of Louis XVI upholstered fauteuils for $12,995. (An earlier auction of Jacobs’ art collection raked in $8.1 million.)
