4-year-old grazed by bullet while waiting with mom for Lyft on UWS

The mother whose 4-year-old son was grazed by a stray bullet during a drive-by shooting on the Upper West Side early Wednesday told cops she was waiting for a Lyft when she suddenly realized her tot was bleeding, according to sources.

Gunfire erupted at the intersection of West 94th Street and Amsterdam Avenue around 12:25 a.m., injuring 4-year-old Joshua Garcia-Cruz and 35-year-old Perfecto Reyes-Sevilla, police sources told The Post.

First responders who arrived at the scene found the toddler suffering from a graze wound to the calf and rushed him to Weill Cornell Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

Joshua’s mom, 27-year-old Jasmin Colon, told a police detective during an interview at the hospital that she and her son were waiting for a Lyft ride-share in front of 698 Amsterdam Ave. when she heard the sound of four gunshots – and then realized that her son was bleeding.

Colon added that she did not see the shooter.

The Post reached out to the mother Wednesday but she declined to comment on the shooting.

Reyes-Sevilla, the second victim of the drive-by shooting, was grazed in the left foot but refused medical attention, sources said.

The 35-year-old told the cops that he was standing on Amsterdam Avenue talking to a friend when he saw a silver car and heard three to four gunshots, one of which nicked him.

A search of the crime scene turned up two 9mm shell casings and two bullet fragments.

Surveillance video from a nearby bodega showed the gunfire coming from a silver sedan targeting a man in a Yankees hat and black sweatpants who was seen in the area walking his dog.

In the footage, according to sources, the man clocks the four-door silver sedan and begins adjusting his waistband.

The car travels north on Amsterdam Avenue past West 94th Street, where the camera captures three muzzle flashes coming from the rear left passenger window, sources reported.

The dog owner then pulls out a black cellphone, crouches and points it at the gunman’s car as if he were aiming a gun, according to sources.

The man targeted in the shooting briefly ducks into the bodega, then unties his dog and walks away. He has not been identified.

So far, no arrests have been made.
