Fans hilariously spot Josh Peck making ‘Megan’ face in ‘Oppenheimer’

Josh Peck is one unlikely person who appears in Christopher Nolan’s critically acclaimed epic “Oppenheimer.”

The Nickelodeon alum, who starred in the 2004 Nick sitcom “Drake & Josh” alongside Miranda Cosgrove as his bratty but cunning little sister Megan, made a cameo in the drama as physicist Kenneth Bainbridge.

However, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Peck, 36, made his famous “Megan” face in the film.

The expression has since gone viral in the years after the show ended in 2007, with memes showing Peck scrunching his face and squinting his eyes while saying “Megan” after the youngster pulled a prank on him.

Viewers raced to social media this week to remark on Peck’s signature facial expression in Nolan’s three-hour biographical flick about the man behind the atomic bomb — J. Robert Oppenheimer (played by Cillian Murphy).

“At one point in ‘Oppenheimer,’ josh peck makes this exact face and it almost took me out of the movie,” someone wrote alongside the iconic photo.

“I FOUND IT,” another fan screamed next to a side-by-side shot of Peck in the show and in the movie.

“Ok my only actual Oppenheimer take is that it’s so unbelievably funny to be watching an intense period piece and have to be like “is that … josh peck?” one guffawed.

One joked that Megan was the one who helped build the bomb discussed in the movie. “She’s the one who taught Josh Peck how to help to build the bomb in Oppenheimer,” they said.

“The best part of Oppenheimer is when the atomic bomb goes off and Josh Peck turns to the camera and squints his eyes and shouts ‘Megan,'” a fan added.

Another user quipped: “I loved Oppenheimer but it really took me out hearing Josh Peck scream ‘MEGAN’ when the little boy was detonated over Hiroshima.”

“Wtf is Josh Peck from Drake & Josh doing in Oppenheimer? When the explosion happens he’s gonna be like … Megan,'” someone scribed.

There are a lot of other unexpected appearances in the flick, with the story also having an all-star main cast.

Among the blink-and-you-missed-it appearances include Alex Wolff, Alden Ehrenreich, Dane DeHaan, David Krumholtz, Gary Oldman, James D’Arcy, Jack Quaid, Rami Malek, Michael Angarano, Devon Bostick and more.

Alongside Murphy, 47, “Oppenheimer” stars Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr., Florence Pugh and Emily Blunt.

The movie chronicles Oppenheimer’s efforts to create an atomic bomb and his achievements with the Manhattan Project during World War II as well as the lasting effects of his groundbreaking work on the world.
