An Italian tennis coach on her last day of vacation in the Big Apple suffered a spinal-cord injury when a hit-and-run driver plowed into her and six other pedestrians in Midtown on Sunday, a new report says.

Giulia Gardani, a 34-year-old sports instructor from Piacenza outside Milan, was with her husband when she was allegedly La Voce di New York reported.

The couple had been due to return home to Italy on Monday, her sister-in-law told La Voce.

Instead, Gardani remains in Bellevue Hospital, where she was initially rushed in critical condition, according to police sources.

She underwent a five-hour surgery after suffering a cervical spine injury, her sister-in-law said.
