Prince Harry heads back to California after whirlwind 24-hour London trip to see cancer-stricken King Charles

Prince Harry is already on his way back home to Montecito, Calif., after just 24 hours on home soil.

The Duke of Sussex, 39, touched down in London just after 2 p.m. local time Tuesday before visiting his ailing father, King Charles III, for a mere 45 minutes.

Harry smiled as he returned to London’s Heathrow Airport on Wednesday afternoon after he was escorted to Clarence House in a convoy from the same airport yesterday.

If the duke catches the 3 p.m. British Airways flight out of Heathrow, he is expected to land at LAX just after 6 p.m. local time.

The exiled royal reportedly stayed the night at a London hotel following his brief meeting with his father, despite having a plethora of royal residences at his disposal.

Harry’s mad trans-Atlantic dash is reminiscent of his whirlwind trip to London for his father’s coronation on May 6, 2023.

The father of two King Charles’ cancer diagnosis.

Charles, for his part, begins outpatient cancer treatment this week.

He and his wife, Queen Camilla, were taken to Sandringham via helicopter from Buckingham Palace on Tuesday afternoon.

Harry is headed home to Montecito, Calif., where wife Meghan Markle remains with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The “Suits” alum, 42, decided not to join her husband on his urgent trip because she felt it’s “something he has to do alone,” King Charles’ former butler Grant Harrold exclusively told The Post this week.

It’s understood that Harry did not meet up with William during his 24-hour stint in London, as the feuding brothers had “no plans to meet.”

“It was such a quick turnaround – was that intentional? Did Harry not want to be around him? It’s possible,” Harrold exclusively told The Post.

“Maybe Harry decided to come over and focus only on his father, but it does obviously open up the questions on the relationship between Harry and William not being great.”

“You would like to think when it comes to family that Harry would have seen some of the other family members during his fleeting visit,” Harrold added.

Elsewhere, Harry’s estranged brother, Prince William, was seen for the first time since returning to royal duties.

The Prince of Wales, 41, hosted a star-studded investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday morning, when he handed out more than 50 honors on behalf of his ailing father.

In the evening, the father of three is expected to attend a gala fundraising dinner for London’s Air Ambulance Charity as the organization’s patron.
