Atlantic City mayor and schools superintendent wife accused of beating teen daughter unconscious with broom
The Atlantic City mayor and his wife have been charged with abuse of their teen daughter after allegedly beating her unconscious with a broom, a report said.
Mayor Marty Small Sr., 50, and his wife La’Quetta, 47, were charged Monday with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office confirmed.
Marty Small is also charged with third-degree terrorist threats and third-degree aggravated assault. And the pair have also been slapped with a disorderly persons’ simple assault charge.
La’Quetta Small is the superintendent of the Atlantic City Public Schools.
