‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ still No. 1 on its fifth week in theaters as hit film rakes in another $3.6M to kick off a weekend

In its fifth week in theaters, “Deadpool & Wolverine” is still leading at the box office.

The Marvel flick raked in just over $3.6 million on Friday, according to The Numbers.

It is expected to take in up to $20 million during Labor Day weekend, which would mean it would then be surpassing the $600 million milestone in sales, according to Deadline.

“Reagan” came in second, with earnings of $2.6 million on its first day in theaters.

The biopic, based on the life of Ronald Reagan, stars Dennis Quaid as the 40th president, and Penelope Ann Miller as his wife, Nancy.

Variety said the “film’s once-over-lightly approach to dramatizing key moments in 20th century history likely will please partisan admirers without winning many new converts.”

It is slated to take in $9 million this holiday weekend.

“Alien: Romulus,” which was released on Aug. 16, fell down a notch to third, with a just over $2.2 million-dollar take.

The sci-fi horror flick, the ninth installment in the “Alien” franchise, surpassed the entire domestic box office earnings of its predecessor “Alien: Covenant,” in just 11 days, Collider reported.

“It Ends With Us,” moved down one spot to fourth, with $2.1 million in revenue.

The romantic drama has created quite a stir for the alleged Rolling Stone reported that crew members on the movie said Lively seemed like she didn’t want to be on set.

“Everyone knew that they didn’t like each other,” the crew member told the outlet.

“I think some of the rumors online seem a little strong. I don’t think they hate each other. But I don’t think they would work together again. Their styles are way too different. Blake is very business-minded and very practical. Justin … is so on the other side of why he makes art that they were never going to be friends.”

“Twisters,” which was released on July 19, returned to the top five this week, landing in fifth, with sales of just over $1.8 million.
