Brian Daboll keeping Malik Nabers concert drama ‘in-house’ after video surfaces

Malik Nabers attended a sold-out concert Wednesday night at MetLife Stadium, but he won’t be in uniform playing against the Bengals on Sunday night at MetLife.

The Giants’ first-round draft pick and most explosive offensive player will miss his second consecutive game Sunday because of the concussion he suffered against the Cowboys late in the game in Week 4.

He remains in concussion protocol, has practiced sparingly the past three days and on Friday was pronounced out for the game by Giants head coach Brian Daboll.

“He won’t make it,” Daboll said before Friday’s practice.

Nabers raised some eyebrows and the ire of some Giants fans on social media when videos were posted of him attending a Travis Scott concert Wednesday night at MetLife Stadium along with teammate Isaiah Simmons.

When Daboll was asked if he has “any issue” with Nabers going to the show, he said, “Yeah, I’ll keep — I’ll keep that all in-house.”

Asked if it was “a violation of any protocol on his end,” Daboll said, “Nope.”

While it surely wasn’t good optics for Nabers considering his injury status, it’s unknown whether he asked team officials and/or doctors if it was OK to attend the rapper’s concert.

It, too, is unlikely he set himself back in any way by going to the show.

Nabers, taken with the No. 6 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, has quickly acclimated to the pro game, catching 35 passes for 386 yards and three touchdowns in four games.

He’s been practicing on a limited basis since Wednesday and, Daboll said, has been progressing.

“He’ll be doing stuff out on the field, more like he was doing the last two days,” Daboll said before Friday’s practice. “He’ll do some more than he did [Thursday]. We’re making progress, but that’s never anything you want to rush.”

Asked if Nabers was knocked unconscious on the play against Dallas, Daboll said, “I’m not going to get into what it was, but it was certainly a big hit. He’s got a pretty good concussion. I’m not going to get into concussion protocol or anything like that. It’s a serious thing.”

The Giants won without Nabers in Seattle this past Sunday.

His replacement, Darius Slayton, had a huge game with eight receptions for 122 yards and a touchdown.

“I think it just shows we have a lot of talent, a lot of depth on our team and a lot of capable football players,” Slayton told The Post on Friday when asked about replacing Nabers. “Last week, we had to do a good job, and we need to do a good job of hitting again this week.”
