‘America’s Got Talent’ comedian Kabir Singh dead at 39

Comedian Kabir “Kabeezy” Singh, best known for being a semifinalist on “America’s Got Talent,” has died at 39 years old. 

Singh’s fiancée told People he died Wednesday, Dec. 4. 

Reps from “America’s Got Talent” told The Post in a statement, “The AGT family is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Kabir Singh, a talented comedian who graced our stage with his undeniable humor.  He brought joy and laughter to so many and his incredible talent will be missed.”

While an exact cause of death hasn’t been reported yet, sources told TMZ that the comedian had health issues. Although an investigation is ongoing and a toxicology report is forthcoming, the outlet reported that authorities believe he died of natural causes.

Singh was reportedly in San Francisco at the time of his death and was originally from Fremont, Calif. 

Singh appeared on “America’s Got Talent” in 2021, getting laughs from the audience with jokes about his Indian background and his mom. 

“I’ve had a rough week, my mom just learned how to start text messaging people,” he opened his comedy set. 

He added, “Does anyone’s mom text you? Worst thing that’s ever happened to me in my life.” He went on to joke about how “useless” her messages are, such as a text saying, “Oh my god, the remote is not working.” 

At the time, judge Howie Mandel called him “relatable” and “magnetic,” and told Singh, “America is going to love you.” 

Singh advanced to the semifinals of the NBC talent show during Season 16.

Singh was also featured on Comedy Central, Family Guy and the BBC, per his Instagram bio. 

On Thursday, Dec, 5, Singh’s friend Jeremy Curry posted about the comedian’s death on Facebook. “It’s My Deepest Regrets to let Everyone Know that Kabir Singh has passed away… He passed away peacefully in his sleep and this is the most devastating post I’ve posted,” Curry wrote. 

He added, “Please keep his family and fiancé in your thoughts and prayers….I Love you bro.”

Singh also appeared on “Family Guy,” and his Instagram noted that he had still been performing standup in November, one month before his death. 

According to Curry, Singh’s funeral will be Saturday, Dec. 14 at 8:30 a.m at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, Calif.
