NYC machete attack victim fears brute will return to decapitate his dog: ‘Get this guy!’
A Bronx man who had four fingers chopped off by a machete-wielding nut is petrified his attacker will return — and follow through on his threat to decapitate his dog, the victim’s family told The Post on Sunday.
Tayquon Young, 34, is still recovering from the horrifying Friday morning assault, while the brute who attacked him and threatened to kill 4-year-old pup Chanel remains on the loose, his aunt said.
“Get this guy!” said the aunt, Tashemia Young. “I’m walking the dog with my husband. My husband’s walking him, too. What if the guy sees us and decides to be angry and finished decapitating [Chanel] or turns on us?
“My nephew, I’m grateful he only lost fingers, not his life,” Tashemia, 48, added. “Right now, everyone needs to be careful. No one is looking out for you. It’s like the only thing we got now is neighbor protecting neighbor.”
The shocking attack played out around 11:30 a.m. on Southern Boulevard and East 178th Street in Crotona, where Tayquon Young was walking Chanel and came across a man with another dog.
“They was playing around,” Tayquon told The Post on Saturday of the pooches. “His dog didn’t have a leash, my dog was next to me. She wasn’t biting his dog or anything. My dog was trying to play around.”
