This spa treatment was designed with a therapist to make you feel ‘validated’ and more confident
What if there was a spa treatment that not only left your skin soft and plump but also worked on your psyche to give your confidence a major boost?
Enter Lush, the British cosmetics giant behind the iconic bath bomb, which promises just that with its self-love-boosting “validation facial.”
Part spa treatment, part positive affirmation session, the unique experience was crafted with the help of mental health experts and skincare pros to leave you glowing — inside and out.
On a chilly winter afternoon, I headed over to Lush’s first and only US spa, nestled above its Lexington Avenue storefront on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, to try out the much-buzzed-about “validation facial.”
“By the time you come out, we want you to feel like you’ve really been held and supported by the therapist, and that you feel inspired and ready to take on new things,” Ruby West, the niece of a Lush founder who provides the company with research and development support, told The Post.
