Sen. John Fetterman fumes over New York magazine’s ‘one-source hit piece’ claiming ‘erratic’ behavior
Democratic Sen. John Fetterman ripped a New York magazine report that quoted current and former staffers questioning his mental health as a “one-source hit piece” by a “very left publication.”
“A one-source hit piece, some anonymous sources. So there’s nothing new,” Fetterman (D-Pa.) told reporters Tuesday about the exposé, which rocky relationship with his wife, Gisele.
When asked about the idea that those who spoke to the magazine were worried about his health, Fetterman shot back: “They are actually not concerned, it’s a hit piece.”
The New York mag report’s protagonist was former Fetterman chief of staff Adam Jentleson, who resigned from his position last year and sent an alarmed email to the senator’s doctor.
“I think John is on a bad trajectory and I’m really worried about him,” Jentleson reportedly wrote, adding that he feared if things don’t change, Fetterman “won’t be with us for much longer.”
