Rudy Giuliani seriously injured in New Hampshire car wreck after helping domestic violence victim: spokesman
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was seriously injured in a freak car accident in New Hampshire on Saturday night, a rep said.
Giuliani, 81, was hospitalized with fractured vertebrae and multiple cuts and bruises, including injuries specifically to his left arm and lower leg, after his rental car was hit from behind, spokesman Michael Ragusa said Sunday.
“Mayor Giuliani was flagged down by a woman who was a victim of domestic violence prior to the accident. He rendered assistance and contacted 911, remaining on scene until responding officers arrived to ensure her safety,” said Ragusa, Giuliani’s head of security.

“The accident occurred after he re-entered his vehicle, which was then hit from behind at high speed.”
The former mayor was a passenger in a Ford Bronco being driven by his spokesman, Ted Goodman, of Michigan, at the time of the roughly 10 p.m. crash, New Hampshire State Police said.
As police were responding to the domestic violence incident on Interstate 93, the Bronco was struck in the back by a Honda HR-V driven by 19-year-old Lauren Kemp of Concord, and both vehicles ended up barreling into the median, cops said.
Giuliani, Goodman and Kemp were all taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
No charges were filed in the incident.
Ragusa said on X that “no one knew it was [Giuliani]” in the rental.
