The Yankees held a moment of silence before their game against the Detroit Tigers for Charlie Kirk following his assassination on Wednesday.
“Kirk founded the youth activist group ‘Turning Point USA’ and had become a fixture on college campuses,” the team’s account posted on X.
“Charlie Kirk, a husband and father of two children, was 31 years old.”

President Trump will attend Thursday’s Yankees game in the Bronx on the anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks.
Trump condemned the shocking killing of Kirk at Utah Valley University, where he was on his The American Comeback Tour.
