Randi Weingarten projects her fascism onto President Trump

Chutzpah, thy name is Randi.

American Federation of Teachers head Randi Weingarten is touring the country pushing her new book, “Why Fascists Fear Teachers,” which pretends her work is vital to fending off the authoritarian threat posed by the Trump administration.

“A public with strong critical thinking muscles is more likely to strengthen democracy and resist authoritarianism,” she preens — pretending the AFT and its fellow teacher unions are all about building strong young minds.

Hah! COVID and the lockdowns provided an eye-opener to America, especially its parents, about those unions: They care only about their own power and their members’ privileges; the kids’ needs don’t matter.

Weingarten fought relentlessly to keep schools closed for months and years after it became obvious they weren’t virus-spreaders — demonstrated not just by the data but by the fact that Europe kept its schools open safely.

She even got her allies in the Biden administration to corrupt the nation’s public-health officials into strongly recommending our kids make do with the farce of “remote learning.”

That travesty not only led to massive learning loss for a generation of schoolchildren; it triggered a spike in chronic absenteeism that remains years later.

And as the damage became obvious, Weingarten cynically and shamelessly began pretending she’d tried to get schools reopened.

Her career now depends on defying “strong critical thinking” — on fooling Americans into thinking she cares for their kids, when all that matters to her is her own continued power.

What she despises about the Trump administration isn’t supposed “fascism,” but its drive to foster school choice and so break the unions’ power, and to restore balance and depoliticize the nation’s public schools.

The teacher unions are now all-in for the hard left as their only hope to keep their grift going — no matter how much diseased thinking their reckless “anti-fascist” rhetoric causes.

Even the Charlie Kirk assassination has given her no pause, because Randi knows no shame.
