The New York Yankees just made Major League Baseball history.
After losing the first contest in their Wild Card series to the Boston Red Sox, they became the first team since the 2022 advent of the three-game, first-round showdown to come back and win.
“Feeling good,” said rookie starting pitcher Cam Schlittler, who twirled eight innings of shutout baseball and struck out a dozen BoSox. “Winner go-home situation. Happy to be able to help the team and get to Toronto.”
Their road trip up north against their AL East rivals, Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s Toronto Blue Jays, gets underway on Saturday, Oct. 4.
