1-year-old baby found dead inside NYC apartment in apparent homicide: cops
Police are probing the disturbing death of a 1-year-old baby boy inside a Brooklyn affordable housing complex — with the tragic case now ruled a homicide, according to authorities.
Cops discovered little Anthony Casey unconscious and unresponsive after her mom failed to revive him and called 911, police officials said Monday.
The mom, clutching her dying baby, met EMTs as they arrived at the 175-unit complex at Thatford Avenue and Newport Street in Brownsville shortly before 5 p.m. Friday.

One EMT snatched little Anthony and rushed him to Brookdale University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, cops said.
“I was coming in, I saw the baby,” one neighbor, a mother of two, told The Post on Tuesday, “There was a man carrying the baby. The baby didn’t look like [he was] awake.
“They said, ‘Watch out, watch out!’ The ambulance was there. They were moving quickly,” she said. “I was shocked. As you can see, I am shaking. I got two babies.”
