Angel Reese unveiled as Victoria’s Secret runway model in sultry video

WNBA All-Star Angel Reese has added Victoria’s Secret Angel to her résumé.

The Chicago Sky forward announced Thursday that she is Victoria’s Secret’s first professional athlete angel and will walk in the iconic lingerie brand’s fashion show in New York City on Oct. 15.

Reese models a black bra and matching lace undies while wearing white angel wings in the video announcement.

She’s also wearing the brand’s famous striped pink robe and open-toe black stilettos.

“Is it the height? Is it the hustle? Is it the wingspan?” the video said. “Welcome Angel.”

The Reebok athlete shared a carousel of photos, showing the behind the scenes of her Victoria’s Secret shoot.

“Stepping into a dream: From Angel to a Victoria Secret ANGEL,” Reese wrote. “I’m finally getting my wings 🪽 I’ll be walking the Victoria’s Secret 2025 runway show for the first time, and it feels like destiny. ✨ Wings on, heels ready…Catch me on the runway💗.”

“I literally could not stop smiling!” she said in an interview with People. “It’s such a surreal and full-circle moment — just last year I was in the audience manifesting being on that runway, completely inspired and in awe of all the powerful women walking down the runway, and now I get to return as an Angel. This will be an unforgettable night that I’ll forever be grateful for.”

Taking to her Instagram Story, Reese shared a post from last November, when she wrote that she was going to walk in the VS fashion show.

“I really manifested this,” she wrote under the image. “My dreams, my work, my ambition are all coming to life! See you October 15th!”

The show will feature performances by Grammy-winning Latin superstar KAROL G, hip-hop icon Missy Elliott, pop singer Madison Beer, and K-pop group TWICE.

The news comes after Juicy Couture announced Reese as its new global ambassador and creative collaborator on Monday.

All of this follows the release of her first signature shoe with Reebok, the Angel Reese 1, last month.

Meanwhile, Reese is at the center of trade rumors after she missed the Sky’s final three games of the season due to a lingering back injury amid her strained relationship with the team.

She did not play since her team-imposed half-game suspension for “statements detrimental to the team” in the Sky’s 80-66 loss to the Aces on Sept. 7.

Reese sat out the second half of that game due to the same back injury that forced her to miss seven games in July.

Reese — who has two years left on her rookie contract before becoming a restricted free agent — was suspended by the Sky for statements she made in a recent interview with the Chicago Tribune, expressing her frustration with the franchise. The suspension came after she publicly apologized to her teammates.

“I’m not settling for the same s–t we did this year,” Reese told the Tribune. “We have to get good players. We have to get great players. That’s a non-negotiable for me. We can’t settle for what we have this year.”

Reese was the WNBA’s single-season leader in rebounds per game (12.6) for the second straight year this season.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air live at 7 p.m. ET on Prime Video, as well as the Victoria’s Secret YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.
