LI elementary school teacher caught in undercover sexting sting said he had ‘MEGA’ access to child porn, blamed his wife: video

A Long Island elementary school teacher under investigation for allegedly sexting someone he thought was a 13-year-old girl was caught on video admitting he had cloud access to a stash of child porn — and then bizarrely tried to blame his wife.

Wading River Elementary School’s music teacher Mark Verity, 37, was suspended from his job Wednesday night after he was tied up in a sting operation by a group called Predator Poachers Long Island, which looks to catch would-be pervs in the act.

“We hope all the evidence as well as our recorded interview can get Verity locked up,” Mike Villani, one of the predator catchers who led the poach, told The Post.

Verity — who is married with two toddlers — can be seen on his way to meet with his in-laws before being confronted by the group outside of the school that afternoon, according to the group’s livestream from the encounter obtained by The Post.

However, it didn’t take long for Verity to admit on camera that he reached out to the group’s 13-year-old “decoy account,” asked for nude photos and sickeningly tried to teach the girl how to masturbate. He also appeared to admit he pushed to meet up with the child and take her virginity, even going as far as talking about what positions they might try in person, according to the video.

He then claimed he would’ve never gone through with it, the footage shows.

Verity was identified by the group after he sent a photo of himself to the girl’s account, and used AI to locate him before the confrontation. The decoy was actually a 29-year-old group member who also used AI to appear younger.

The same day that Verity was confronted, he was allegedly messaging the girl throughout the school day, asking her what she was wearing underneath her “comfortable clothing,” to which she replied “nothing,” according to the video. Verity allegedly asked that she “prove it,” according to the live stream. 

But the sick games don’t end there — Verity also admitted on camera to previously viewing and possessing bestiality porn depicting ostriches and horses, as well as having access to massive, online databases of child porn though “MEGA” cloud storage, according to the video.

That allegedly included photos and videos of children as young as 8-years old — but said he prefers the “13-16 age range,” the video shows.

The music teacher then blamed his sick tendencies on his wife, saying their sex-less marriage has pushed him into dark corners of the internet to satisfy his needs, the video shows. But then he admitted his infatuation with children goes back at least 10 years, and possibly before his teaching days began, according to the images.

Verity is then seen begging the poachers for forgiveness in the name of his family in the recording, which is set to be officially posted online Tuesday.

“I love what I do, I love my family — is there any way I can have a shot?” Verity pleaded in the recording, asking to be let off the hook so he won’t lose his job and wife.

His wife is also an elementary music teacher in the same district.

After an hour-long encounter with Verity, the police were eventually called by the group, and he was taken in for questioning, however no arrest was made at the time.

Police are now investigating and confirmed Verity was present at the encounter on Wednesday.

Villani told The Post is meeting with the Suffolk County police Thursday to go through the evidence his organization collected.
