Long Island elementary teacher arrested after undercover sting allegedly exposed his sexting of girl, 13

The now-suspended Long Island elementary school teacher caught sexting someone he believed was a 13-year-old girl was arrested on Friday — as 76-pages of sick chat logs came to light.

Mark Verity, 37, was charged with trying to send sexual messages to a minor and attempting to involve the child in a sex act after getting caught up in a sting operation run by Predator Poachers Long Island.

Verity, a music teacher at Wading River Elementary School, was taken into custody following a two-day investigation sparked by the vigilante group’s viral video confrontation — in which the married dad of two allegedly admitted to the sick exchange.

In the disturbing text messages, Verity can be seen reaching out to the organization’s onine decoy in early October. 

Verity started flirting with the decoy, who told him she was in middle school — even though she was a 29-year-old group member using AI to make herself appear younger, the messages revealed. 

“You’re very cute,” Verity told the girl through Kik, a popular messenger and social media app, according to the documents. 

In under an hour, the pair moved the conversation to Snapchat — where Verity began getting overtly sexual with the decoy, asking for nude photos, trying to arrange a meet up for sex, and telling her he was in a relationship already but that won’t stop him from being with her, the messages read. 

“You’re prettier anyway — I’d make sure you got the same attention,” Verity told the teen about his wife, who is also an elementary teacher in the same district. 

The 15-year veteran teacher then asked the teen to share her cup-size and detail how far she has gone with boys in the past, the documents detailed.

The decoy responded that she has only kissed a boy her age before, to which Verity told her that he’ll help her practice and said that she has “great lips for kissing,” according to the files. 

As the conversation continues, Verity starts pushing for the decoy to send him sexually explicit photos of herself in hot pink panties, specifically, and asks for her to stand in various lewd poses.

He also asked what positions she would want to try, and promised to be “super gentle” when taking her virginity.

The next day, Verity continued to message the decoy through the school day, and was later confronted outside his place of work by the group that afternoon.

During the hour-long confrontation, Verity admitted on-camera to messaging the decoy, having cloud access to a “mega” stash of child porn, and bizarrely blaming his sex-less marriage for his sick online tendencies. 

Verity is set to be be arraigned Saturday. 

The Shoreham-Wading River school district could not be immediately reached for comment.
