tRY IT NOWAfter the dramatic 33-32 comeback win over the Giants, Payton touched on the Giants’ quarterback situation. He complimented rookie Jaxson Dart while getting in a dig at Wilson, who was the starter for the first three games of this Giants season.
“They found a little spark with that quarterback,” Payton said, referring to Dart.
“I was talking to [Giants owner] John Mara not too long ago and I said we were hoping that that change would have happened long after our game.”
The implication being that Payton had been hoping that when Week 7 arrived this year, the Broncos would have the chance to see Wilson under center.
