Howard Rubin dressed up like Disney characters for grandkids when he wasn’t allegedly running sex dungeon

Howard Rubin was dressing up in costumes from the Disney flick “Frozen’’ and turning his living room into a playground for his grandkids when he wasn’t allegedly torturing women in his sex dungeon.

The retired mega-financier’s daughter Annalee Rubin tried peddling the heartwarming details about her accused sex-trafficking dad while describing him as a “devoted and loving’’ grandfather in a recent letter to a Brooklyn federal judge.

Annalee, who is now seven months pregnant with her fourth child, wrote the gushing missive to try to get Rubin, 70, sprung from jail while he awaits trial on charges he and personal assistant Jennifer Powers trafficked women to his penthouse-turned-dungeon.

Her bid ultimately failed, with the judge Monday ordering Rubin to remain behind bars, saying even posting a $50 million bond might not be enough to ensure he returns to court.

But while issuing a plea on behalf of her dad, Annalee noted how he had turned his living room into a tumbling mat and ball pit for her children so that they could have a “special gym-like space to enjoy” in his Connecticut home.

“He is a devoted and loving grandfather who goes above and beyond to create joy for his grandchildren,” Annalee wrote. “He dresses up in costumes – like characters from Frozen – just to make them smile.”

Her letter mentioned the “seriousness of the charges” against her dad — while also including several cute family photos of the now-under-fire patriarch with his grandkids.

Some of the snapshots show Rubin at the beach with a little girl, holding an infant in his arms on a plane and playing in a pool with them. Others capture him smiling ear-to-ear posing with two children and on the floor playing with an infant. 

Annalee’s letter, penned Oct. 3 and released in a court filing Friday, said Rubin also helps his daughter and her partner weekly with mundane tasks, including picking the kids up from school and bringing them to after-school activities while also pitching in on meals and bedtime routines.

He had been overseeing repairs and contractors at the family of five’s new home in Easton, Ct., she said.

“To our family, he has been an extraordinary source of love, stability, and support,” Annalee wrote of her dad.

The daughter’s letter comes as Rubin’s estranged wife also begged the court to free Rubin for now. He and spouse Mary Henry are in the middle of divorce proceedings.

But prosecutors successfully argued that Rubin, despite his close family ties, is still a danger to the community and could flee instead of stand trial.

Rubin’s alleged stomach-turning sex crimes took place between 2009 and 2019. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which also include a count of bank fraud.
