Texas couple never kissed until their wedding day: ‘Was truly magical’
They couldn’t wait to hear, “You may now kiss the bride.”
Best friends turned newlyweds held out on having their first kiss until their wedding day — that took place earlier this month — and they don’t regret it one bit.
Kaytlin and Drew Brown are non-denominational Christians, meaning they identify with Christianity but not necessarily a specific branch of it. So when they started dating in early 2021, they both decided that they’d wait until marriage to do any sort of hanky panky-ish things together, including kissing.
“For us personally, we knew our top love language was physical touch, and in knowing that we wanted to be wise in our approach to boundaries,” Kaytlin told the Daily Mail.
The 22-year-old told the outlet that she and Drew felt that “kissing could be a gateway that leads to physical intimacy,” so they swore to never sneak a smooch before they walked down the aisle together.
