Reba McEntire cries over stepson Brandon Blackstock’s death on ‘The Voice’
Cowgirls do cry.
Reba McEntire became emotional while remembering her late stepson, Brandon Blackstock, in the latest episode of “The Voice.”
The talent manager died at age 48 in August after a battle with melanoma. McEntire, 70, was married to Brandon’s dad, Narvel Blackstock, from 1989 to 2015.
On Monday’s episode, the actress, who serves as a coach, mentioned her stepson after her artist Aubrey Nicole sang Martina McBride’s “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.”
The tune is written about a couple facing a cancer diagnosis. Nicole sang the rendition in honor of her father who is in remission.
