Kim Kardashian endorses conspiracy theory about 1969 moon landing: ‘I think it was fake’

Kim Kardashian is endorsing a wild conspiracy theory.

During Thursday’s episode of “The Kardashians” on Hulu, the 45-year-old reality star tried to convince her “All’s Fair” co-star Sarah Paulson that the 1969 moon landing was “fake.”

“I’m sending you, so far, a million interviews with both Buzz Aldrin and… the other one [Neil Armstrong],” Kardashian told Paulson, 50, on the set of the new Ryan Murphy series.

“Yes, do it,” Paulson replied.

“This girl says, ‘What was the scariest moment?’ And [Aldrin] goes, ‘There was no scary moment, cause it didn’t happen. It could’ve been scary, but it wasn’t, cause it didn’t happen,'” Kardashian told the actress.

The SKIMs founder claimed that Aldrin, 95, has “gotten old” and is slipping up about the moon landing.

“So I think it didn’t happen,” Kardashian admitted.

Paulson told Kardashian that she was going on a “massive deep dive” to look more into Kardashian’s claims.

During a confessional from her trailer, Kardashian reiterated her stance on the moon landing.

“I don’t think we did. I think it was fake,” she told a producer.

“I’ve seen a few videos [of] Buzz Aldrin talking about how it didn’t happen,” Kardashian continued. “He says it all the time now, in interviews.”

“Maybe we should find Buzz Aldrin,” Kardashian added, suggesting that her sister, Khloe Kardashian, should have Aldrin on her podcast.

As Kardashian scrolled on her phone more, she said in a voice over, “Why does Buzz Aldrin say it didn’t happen? There’s no gravity on the moon — why is the flag blowing? The shoes that they have in the museum that they wore on the moon is a different print than the photos. Why are there no stars?”

A producer then asked Kardashian: “What do you have to say to the people who are gonna say you’re crazy for saying that?”

“They’re gonna say I’m crazy no matter what,” the mom of four replied. “But like, go to TikTok. See for yourself.”

On July 20, 1969, Armstrong and Aldrin became the first two people to walk on the moon during the Apollo 11 mission. Third crew member Michael Collins remained in lunar orbit in the command module and didn’t walk on the moon.

Aldrin’s comments about the landing that Kardashian brought up were actually from a 2015 interview that was taken out of context and contributed to the conspiracy theories.

During an event at the time, Aldrin was asked about the “scariest moment” of the journey, and he responded that a scary moment “didn’t happen.”

In another misinterpreted clip, a young girl asked Aldrin why no one has gone back to the moon for so long, and he replied, “Because we didn’t go there anymore.”

In July, Aldrin marked the 56th anniversary of the moon landing on social media.

“July 20, 1969. ‘Contact light, engine stop.’ The Apollo 11 lunar module Eagle touched down at Tranquility Base on the Moon,” he wrote on X. “A few hours later, Neil Armstrong and I stepped foot on the Moon, with Michael Collins orbiting close-by.”

“An achievement resulting from years of incalculable effort, commitment, and team work,” the astronaut added.
