Defiant Gayle King responds to reports she’s exiting ‘CBS Mornings’ with a clear message
Gayle King says talk that she’s being pushed out of “CBS Mornings” is news to her.
The veteran anchor told King said she loves her job and plans to keep showing up for work.
“I have no idea” if “CBS Mornings” will make changes when her contract expires in May, King told the news site, insisting she hasn’t heard anything to suggest she’s on the way out.
Her comments came after Variety reported that King could step down next year to take another role within the network.
CBS News quickly denied that, saying in a Thursday statement that “there have been no discussions with Gayle about her contract that runs through May 2026.”
