The Cardinals’ starting quarterback job is Jacoby Brissett’s, at least for now.
Arizona head coach Jonathan Gannon revealed on Tuesday who will be his QB1 this week against the Seahawks, one day after taking down the Cowboys on “Monday Night Football.”
“Jacoby will start,” Gannon said. “And Kyler [Murray] will keep working on his health bucket. I do like what the offense is doing right now, we’ve operated well and we’ll go from there.”

Shortly after Gannon’s comments, ESPN’s Adam Schefter revealed that Murray and the team has talked to multiple doctors about his foot injury, which has sidelined him for the past month, “and have been told the timetables for recovery have been anywhere from 4-8 weeks, with an increased chance of setback until it’s properly healed.”
Gannon didn’t appear too concerned about Brissett taking over the starting job for the time being, though.
