Eagles vs. Packers prediction: NFL Week 10 ‘Monday Night Football’ picks, odds, props

The Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) exit the bye week and travel to Lambeau Field for a showdown with the Green Bay Packers (5-2-1).

Monday Night Football‘ features a battle between NFC division leaders and will cap off Week 10.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles have won back-to-back games and are ready to unveil a number of new additions to their defensive unit following the NFL trade deadline.

The Packers had a nightmarish Week 9, losing at home as big favorites to the Panthers. To make matters worse, starting tight end and leading pass-catcher Tucker Kraft suffered a season-ending ACL injury in the defeat.

Despite a myriad of injuries offensively, the Packers are slim 1.5-point favorites in this one, with the Over/Under set at 48.5 total points.

Eagles vs. Packers odds, prediction

Jordan Love and his costly decision-making cost Green Bay some points last week, as his streak of seven straight games with a passing touchdown was snapped. Love also finished Week 9 with an interception and a season-low QBR rating of 80.1.

While I expect a sharper outing from the Packers signal-caller, a lack of playmakers could be an issue. Romeo Doubs, who leads the team in targets (52), Christian Watson, and Malik Heath are the only receivers without an injury tag. Watson, who is only two games back from an ACL tear, is likely to be on a snap count.

Matthew Golden, rookie Savion Williams, and Dontayvion Wicks are all carrying an injury designation and will be questionable for Monday night. Jayden Reed is still on IR following a broken collarbone in Week 2.

The Packers will be very thin at wide receiver and are expected to lean on Josh Jacobs a ton.

Jacobs entered Week 10 second among running backs behind Jonathan Taylor, with 10 rushing touchdowns. Matt LaFleur and the Packers are expected to employ a run-heavy scheme on Monday, targeting an Eagles defense that allows 120 yards per game and ranks 19th against the run.

Saquon Barkley, like Jacobs, bolted to a new team during free agency, and the decision paid dividends.

The ex-Giant, however, is having a down year across the board, producing just four rushing touchdowns total so far and 519 yards rushing. A decrease in production from his epic 2024 campaign of 2,005 yards and 13 touchdowns.

The Eagles as a collective unit have struggled offensively at times this season.

One aspect that has been the subject of plenty of discussion this season is Hurts’ inability to find star receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith downfield. Philly’s passing attack has been inconsistent and frustrating, as the wideout tandem has combined for only five touchdowns this season.

Cue Dallas Goedert and his surprising seven receiving touchdowns on the year.

The South Dakota State product has slowly become an auto redzone option for Hurts and Philadelphia. His touchdown total leads all Eagles pass catchers, and he is currently third in the NFL, behind Davante Adams and Amon-Ra St. Brown.

Defenses tend to key in so much on Hurts’ running ability —the Tush Push, Barkley, Brown, and Smith —and Goedert’s 6-foot-5 frame can sometimes go unaccounted for.

Betting on the NFL?

Green Bay is in the middle of the pack in terms of tight end coverage. The Packers have allowed five touchdowns to the position through Week 9, as the Cardinals’ Trey McBride found the endzone twice in Week 7 against them.

Goedert has a 100 percent red zone rate, meaning each of his seven targets within 20 yards of the goal line this season has equalled pay dirt. I expect this trend to continue, and I’m taking Goedert to cross the pylon.

The Play: Dallas Goedert, Anytime Touchdown Scorer (+220, DraftKings)
