Fed agents heckled in dramatic NYC scene as they tussle with suspect: video

Federal agents pulled a man from a car in a dramatic caught-on-video scene in Washington Heights Wednesday morning – as onlookers filmed and one bellowed, “Show your faces!” 

Someone even called the cops on the officers as they tried to pull a man out of a black SUV at West 157th Street and Broadway, according to a spokesman from the office of Councilmember Shaun Abreu, who represents the area.

“What?” the man cries in the struggle, according to footage posted to X by Abreu.

Minutes ago, masked ICE agents ripped someone out of their car on 157th street and Broadway.

The clip shows a small crowd gathered, including a parent with a backpack-wearing little girl, as one man repeatedly demands, “Show your faces! Show your faces!” 

“This video of someone being ripped off the street in front of our neighbors is deeply disturbing,” Abreu said in a statement. “ICE and other federal agencies that are carrying out Trump’s agenda of detaining people without due process have no place in our city.

“I condemn this despicable pattern of intimidation, and my office is working to find out more information on this morning’s events. Please stay vigilant and look out for one other.”

The man arrested during the broad-daylight tussle was identified by Homeland Security Investigations as Alpha Amadou Diallo, originally from Guinea, who entered the US illegally near Del Rio, Texas in 2021.

He was arrested by US Border Patrol on Nov. 8 of that year and was released into the country under President Biden’s administration, according to  HSI Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin.

After receiving “full due process,” Diallo  was ordered removed by an immigration judge on Feb. 22, 2024. 

“This administration is not going to ignore the rule of law,” McLaughlin said. 

“Council Member Shaun Abreu should stop fearmongering and smearing our brave law enforcement who are facing 1,000% increase in assaults against them and a nearly 8000% increase in death threats,” she added of the Democratic pol’s criticisms.

Meanwhile, NYPD officers briefly ended up at an unrelated scene Wednesday morning.

The NYPD said cops received a 911 call about “four suspicious males” with guns pulling someone out of a car at 157th Street and Broadway — and drove around looking for the scene. Instead, cops said they found apparent law enforcement officers chasing someone a few blocks away at 164th Street.

Those officers were not wearing any outer clothing that identified them as immigration agents, police said, citing bodycam footage.

The cops jumped into the fray, and two of them suffered minor injuries during the fracas, police said. 

It wasn’t until the “very end” of the ordeal that the agents said they were connected with ICE — prompting the NYPD cops to back off.

The raid comes after democratic socialist Zohran Mamdani won election as the next mayor of the Big Apple, with the mayor-elect set to stand in the way of President Trump’s hardline illegal immigration crackdown. Trump has said he’d withhold federal funding to the city if Mamdani became mayor.

Neither ICE nor HSI immediately responded to requests for comment from The Post.
