Chief are four guys in their early 20s, all from Santa Monica, who met at NYU and each possess a tortured artists indie beard. They wear those baggy 18th century clothes, they sing like vocal drizzle and their music is the happiest and saddest thing I have ever heard.
The PopWrap HQ hipster meter is through the roof.
Their first single “Night & Day” is a sultry look inside the soul and heart of every emotion on the planet, and the new accompanying video is just as complex. I haven’t heard the rest of the album yet, so I’m unsure if they can hold it together as well as their scruffy persona, we’ll see.
