With a record breaking 13 nominations, the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards were bound to be about Lady GaGa no matter how you sliced it — but from the minute she hit the white carpet (accompanied by soldiers affected by DADT) in a resplendent Alexander McQueen creation, it became clear that many people were tuning in solely to see La Ga. Which is good because her night closing Meat Dress redux was more interesting than half the performances.
