Teresa Giudice is out of prison

Teresa Giudice is a free woman.

The “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star, 42, was released from a federal prison in Danbury, Conn., early Wednesday.

She was set free as of 5:01 a.m., reports People.

Her lawyer, James J. Leonard Jr., told the site, “She is thrilled that she is finally going home.”

After completing the necessary release paperwork, Teresa got into a waiting car and drove straight to her Towaco, N.J. home.

Her eldest daughter, Gia, couldn’t contain her excitement tweeting “Welcome back” with a blushing emoji early Wednesday monring.

Teresa, along with husband Joe Giudice and their four daughters, will be spending Christmas Eve with her sister-in-law and brother, Melissa and Joe Gorga.

The coming months will bring more transition for Teresa. She’ll release a tell-all book about prison and her life. And Joe will begin serving his 41-month prison sentence in March.
