Punk icon Jayne County is back
Transgender punk icon and Max’s Kansas City fixture Jayne County made a triumphant return to New York for her art show at Participant Inc., “Paranoia Paradise.”
County — known originally as singer of Wayne County & the Electric Chairs, whose tunes included the anthem “F - -k Off,” was spotted at a private dinner celebrating her show’s final night with Blondie singer Debbie Harry and director John Waters.
There was also buzz that County’s been contacted by “Transparent” about a potential cameo on the series, and that she’s prepping for the release of her animal rights single, “Leave My P—y Alone,” as a pink vinyl 7-inch EP.
The song was created with Jimi LaLumia and Mark DiCarlo.
Meanwhile, we hear that County’s fielding heated offers for her show to travel internationally.
