Aretha Franklin’s funeral will be spread across four days in Detroit, with a viewing open to members of the public, organizers announced Friday — a day after she died from pancreatic cancer at the age of 76.
A public viewing for the Queen of Soul will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Aug. 28 and Aug. 29 at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, which Franklin frequently visited, according to the Detroit News.
