Naomi Watts hit the red carpet at the Venice Film Festival‘s opening ceremony on Wednesday dressed in a gown that had many on social media taking notes — but perhaps not in the way the actress intended.
Watts, 49, wore a strapless pink Armani Privé gown whose layers of fluttering petals reminded many on Twitter of Post-it Notes.
“Naomi Watts invented Post-its,” remarked, “did I mention Naomi Watts looked like she was covered in Post-its?”
A Spanish-speaking Twitter user shared a photo of the star’s look and wrote, “Naomi Watts muy guapa en Venecia con un Armani hecho con post it rosas,” which roughly translates to “Naomi Watts [looking] very pretty in Venice with an Armani made with pink Post-its.”
Talk about a noteworthy fashion moment.
