Taking to Instagram on Saturday, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” alum, who resides in Italy, said he felt “overwhelmed with emotions” after plans to reunite with his children had been canceled amid the coronavirus pandemic.
“For 🐣, my family and I were to reunite instead the unthinkable happened, not a day,hour,min. goes by that I don’t think about the girls,” Giudice posted.
He continued, “Special occasions are the hardest without them it feels emptier and less joyful. I felt overwhelmed with emotions so I ✍️.”
Giudice, 47, later announced their separation after two decades of marriage.
In December, he reunited with the couple’s four daughters — Gia, 19, Gabriella, 15, Milania, 14, Audriana, 10 — for the holidays.
“My heart breaks for anyone who is going through not seeing their kids, wife, parents, or loss,” Giudice continued. “This has taught me to be grateful and humbled by all my experiences it reinforced the idea of never taking anything for granted, especially my babies.”
He later captioned another Instagram clip, “Happy Easter from me and my ‘ZOOM’ Peeps to you.”
Earlier this month, Teresa lost father Giacinto Gorga at the age of 76. Though the cause of death is unclear, a rep for Teresa previously told Page Six “he had been sick for a while.”
As of Sunday, there are over 156,000 confirmed coronavirus cases in Italy.
