Kelly Dodd responds to Heather Dubrow calling her ‘pathetic’

Kelly Dodd has fired back after her former “Real Housewives of Orange County” co-star Heather Dubrow called her “sad” and “pathetic.”

“If I’m so irrelevant why did your lawyer send me 2 cease & desist letters?” Dodd filmed Dubrow and her husband Terry Dubrow at dinner.

The former reality star added, “I just got video of you & Gomer Pyle [a fictional character who Dodd said Terry resembled] eating alone at a table for 6. You’re the ‘sad & pathetic’ one. Ask anyone in production. They can’t stand you.”

Dubrow and Dodd have had a tumultuous friendship over the years, but it’s only escalated over the last few months. Most recently, Dubrow told Page Six that she was unbothered by feud.

“It makes me laugh,” Dubrow told Page Six on Tuesday. “Kelly seems to talk about me a lot, so at this point I don’t know whether to be really flattered that she’s so obsessed with me or sad for her that she has no other content.”

The “Seven Stitches Star” added, “No. 1: You don’t burn bridges and No. 2 you have to figure out your next steps, and I don’t think sitting at a restaurant filming former cast members is a viable employment opportunity, and it just seems sad, pathetic.”

Dodd and Dubrow’s falling out will only play out offscreen for now, as Dodd was asked to return. (She was involved through 2012’s Season 7 to 2016’s Season 11, leaving amid the show’s increasingly fractious atmosphere.)

Shortly after Dodd’s exit and Dubrow’s return was announced, Dubrow denied rumors that she got Dodd fired.

“I think you would know that anyone that thinks they have that kind of power on a show like this is really very misguided,” Dubrow told E! News in July.

She added, “Having said that, when I left the show I felt like the culture of the show was changing and it wasn’t really in line with who I am or something that I felt comfortable in.”

Dodd’s husband Rick Leventhal teased that he and Dodd will discuss the “RHOC” drama on Thursday’s episode of their podcast “Rick and Kelly UNMASKED.”
