Harrison Wagner ‘lost his battle with addiction,’ family reveals

Jack and Kristina Wagner revealed their son Harrison “lost his battle with addiction” after he was found dead in a Los Angeles parking lot on June 7.

The heartbroken parents honored their son by creating The Harrison Wagner Scholarship Fund. According to a message on the New House Life Recovery Community website, they hope Harrison’s memory “will live on” through this scholarship.

“Harrison was a bright, exuberant young man whose smile lit up any room he was in. He has left behind many men and family members who loved him deeply,” the post read.

“We are heartbroken that he ultimately lost his battle with addiction and we hope that Harrison’s memory will live on through this scholarship and will help other young men get help for their addiction that would not otherwise be able to afford it.”

Last week, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner told Page Six that Harrison – the 27-year-old son of “General Hospital” stars Jack and Kristina – was pronounced dead in North Hollywood at 5:14 a.m. local time.

According to his father, Harrison battled addiction previously and went missing for nearly a week after a relapse in July 2016.

“I’m going to ask those who want to share their fears, addictions & struggles to do so w me via Twitter. We can face them 2gether, I’ll start,” the actor tweeted in 2016.

“I fear for my youngest sons safety,” he added in another tweet. “Harrison has struggled w drugs & alcohol just as I did when I was younger. He’s relapsed & is MIA 5days.”

Following his tragic passing, Harrison’s 31-year-old brother, Peter, spoke out via Instagram, writing, “Always with you.”

Harrison’s girlfriend, Sophia Bui, also posted an emotional tribute on social media, in which she described her late beau as the “balm that soothed my soul.”

“Here’s a love letter to babe. I’m so broken hearted. We had plans this Friday and you called to apologize,” she began. “Seven years, on and off, round and round we loved each other. For better or for worse. In sickness and in health.”

The “Minx” actress went on to apologize for missing her boyfriend’s calls “in the middle of the night” these last few days.

“I miss sleeping in yr pola [sic] bear arms, curled up. I miss sending you silly animal videos. I miss you sending gorgeous songs that made me cry,” she continued.

“I was never alone in this world with you. You were the balm that soothed my soul. You were my guy. I hope I was that comfort for you. I will always be yr [sic] babe. I will always choose to love you in this world and in any other life. 💔💔💔💔💔💔.”
