Emma Stone sports seashell-inspired ‘sorbet’ gown on Oscars 2024 red carpet

She’s the Bella of the ball.

Emma Stone arrived on the Oscars 2024 red carpet Sunday wearing a stunning strapless gown with a dramatic peplum.

The mint-colored design was a custom creation by Louis Vuitton and featured a subtle, shell-patterned jacquard fabric, with the flared waist reminiscent of an oyster shell as well.

According to “E! News” correspondent Zanna Roberts Rassi, Stone’s stylist Petra Flannery said the pale color was an homage to the “sorbet theme” seen not only in “Poor Things,” but also the star’s looks at both the SAG Awards earlier this year.

The actress, 35, completed her look with a 30-carat yellow diamond choker necklace and multiple rings from Louis Vuitton High Jewelry, tying her hair into a very loose, low ponytail.

Stone is nominated for best actress for her performance as Bella Baxter in “Poor Things,” which racked up a total of 11 nods at this year’s Academy Awards; Stone’s co-star Mark Ruffalo is up for best supporting actor, while director Yorgos Lanthimos is nominated for best director.

“Poor Things” also earned nods for best picture, best adapted screenplay, best cinematography, best original score, best editing, best production design, best costume designer and best makeup and hairstyling.

In the film, Stone’s Bella is brought back from the dead by eccentric scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe), later linking up with rakish lawyer Duncan Wedderburn (Ruffalo) for a hedonistic and eye-opening voyage around the world.

And throughout awards season, the 35-year-old actress has been occasionally taking cues from the movie’s Victorian-era wardrobe for her red carpet looks — which are largely provided by Louis Vuitton, as Stone’s a brand ambassador.

She picked a peach gown with a single, voluminous balloon sleeve for February’s BAFTA Awards, and a pale blue satin sleep dress and matching crinkled coat with supersized leg-of-mutton-sleeves for the “Poor Things” London premiere in December.

Stone selected similar (albeit more embellished) slip styles the Golden Globes.

Perhaps she’ll be taking home something else shiny tonight: an Oscar statuette.
