Teen hedge fund scions Jake Loeb and Henry Cornell Jr. gain music fans with gig at Montauk’s Surf Lodge

Budding musicians Jake Loeb and Henry Cornell Jr. impressed music fans when they played Montauk’s hip Surf Lodge on Monday night.

Insiders at the show noted that Jake’s the son of billionaire hedge funder Daniel Loeb, while Henry’s dad is fellow hedge fund billionaire, Henry Cornell.

“Dan was there enjoying dinner with friends and family after the band played,” a spy told Page Six.

We hear the young performers, both 18, had to audition at the hotspot before booking the gig.

The source tells us the duo met in high school, and have played together in a band for four years. They’ve also collaborated on songwriting. 

The teens — who are both heading to college at the end of the summer — have each recorded solo tunes as well, and the rising talents previously played NYC’s iconic Cutting Room in April together.

Henry Jr. has several He has described his sound as, “a 2014 Justin Bieber vibe with a 2024 twist.” His first song on the platform, “Flying,” is from 2021.

Loeb has put out three singles this year, including his latest, “Love Song in My Head,” which is available on Spotify.

Daniel — the philanthropist and founder of Third Point — owned a mobile home in the Hamptons’ Montauk Shores area, in surfer-friendly Ditch Plains, where trailers go for millions and neighbors include the co-founder of Vitaminwater, Darius Bikoff.

Late rocker Jimmy Buffet wanted to get a place there in 2005 — but lost in a bidding war. This year, an 800-square-foot oceanfront trailer sold for a record $3.75 million.

Loeb also owns an oceanfront spread in East Hampton.

Cornell Sr. founded Cornell Capital, and was previously at Goldman Sachs.
