Katie Holmes helps daughter Suri, 18, move into dorm at Carnegie Mellon University

Suri Cruise has officially started her college career.

The 18-year-old moved into her dorm at Carnegie Mellon University over the weekend with the help of her mom, Katie Holmes, while her famous father, Tom Cruise, was living large in London.

The mother-daughter duo was photographed carrying boxes into Suri’s new living quarters on campus over the weekend.

Suri, who wore long denim shorts and an off-the-shoulder white top, seemed excited for the new chapter as she wheeled some of her suitcases into the building.

After getting everything unpacked, the “Dawson’s Creek” alum, 45, and the college student strolled around campus.

At one point, the teen was seen taking in her new surroundings while perched on top of a grassy hill.

Holmes looked comfortable in a pale yellow button down and baggy jeans with a blue striped shirt tied around her waist.

They both wore their hair back and, while Holmes opted for simple jewelry, Suri rocked a silver statement necklace that featured a large floral pendant.

Suri will be busy with first-year student orientation through the rest of the week before beginning classes on Aug. 26, according to the school’s website.

While Holmes was helping the teen get sitauted for her first year of college, the “Mission Impossible” star was photographed landing a helicopter at London Battersea Heliport after spending a week vacationing in the Mediterranean.

The actor seemed to be in great spirits as he whizzed around the skies from the cockpit.

Suri has been estranged from her Scientologist father for nearly her entire life.

However, she “will miss the close proximity” to her daughter once she’s off to college.

Although Holmes rarely talks about her daughter publicly, she is “really proud” of Suri.

“I remember being this age, this time of beginnings,” she shared, noting that it’s an “exciting” time to “learn about yourself.”

Despite rumors the teen is planning to study fashion, acting or music, Holmes didn’t confirm her major.

The teen revealed she was attending the private university in June after a friend posted a video of her wearing a Carnegie Mellon crewneck for LaGuardia High School’s decision day.
