Hugh Jackman’s ex Deborra-Lee Furness’ plan to ‘get away from the pain’ of alleged Sutton Foster affair revealed

Deborra-Lee Furness has a plan to get past Hugh Jackman’s alleged betrayal with Sutton Foster.

The Australian actress “is currently rebuilding her life and taking a vacation to Bhutan to start fresh and get away from the pain,” a source told Us Weekly on Thursday.

“She’s relied on a strong support system of female friends,” the insider added. “She also spends time with other women who’ve been through similar situations who offer her unwavering support.”

Jackman, 56, and Furness, 69, announced in September 2023 that 27 years of marriage.

“We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,” they said in a joint statement at the time.

“Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

The estranged couple, who share two adopted kids, continued, “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love and kindness.

“We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”

Shortly after, a Broadway insider told Page Six exclusively that the split was a long time coming, explaining, “It happened a while ago. Friends and family knew about it.”

The insider also told us that there was not a third party involved. However, that proved to be untrue when rumors began circling that Jackman had cheated on his wife with his “Music Man” co-star Foster.

Sources told Page Six that they formed a connection while starring together in the Broadway show before falling in love.

“They are 100 percent together and are in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together,” one insider said.

As the speculation filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years, Ted Griffin, with whom she shares an adopted daughter.

Jackman and Foster then confirmed their relationship in January 2025 when Page Six obtained photos of them making out outside an In-N-Out.

Although neither party has addressed the cheating allegations, a friend of Furness seemingly confirmed the rumors on social media.

When an Instagram video surfaced alleging that Jackman had been unfaithful, Amanda de Cadenet wrote, “You are on point with this one. My beloved friend Deb is about to have her glow up any moment FYI !”
