Melania Trump embraces the polka dot trend for visit to DC children’s hospital

On Thursday, the first lady visited young patients at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC, cosigning this season’s polka dot craze in a silk blouse by Gabriela Hearst.

Trump styled the top with a cream-colored pencil skirt and white Roger Vivier flats topped with the brand’s signature buckles.

She wore her long, wavy brunette hair in a middle part and sported a smoky eye and glossy pink lips.

During her visit, Trump met with 10 patients at the hospital’s Garden Room, where they did arts and crafts using rocks and cups.

According to USA Today, the first lady strolled through the garden and put Fourth of July decorations in the flower beds.

“I love to see you all,” Trump said to the group of children.

She reportedly chatted with the patients about their favorite sports, food and hobbies. She also brought the kids stuffed teddy bears, children’s books and blankets.

The first lady is far from alone in her fondness for polka dots.

At the end of June, Hailey Bieber stepped out during a solo trip to New York City wearing black-and-white polka-dot capris from Paloma Wool.

It didn’t take long for the calf-grazing pants to completely sell out.

And May, fashion icon Sarah Jessica Parker took the look for a spin during an appearance on “Good Morning America,” wearing a powder blue polka-dotted skirt suit with white peep-toe pumps.

Dua Lipa, Kendall Jenner, Olivia Rodrigo and Charli XCX have all sported spotted looks recently, too.
