Diane Keaton’s death certificate shed new light on the cause of her shocking passing.

The “Annie Hall” star’s cause of death was listed as primary bacterial pneumonia with no contributing conditions, according to a death certificate obtained by Page Six.

Additionally, the document said Keaton was cremated on Oct. 14, three days after her death.

The “Father of the Bride” actress died on Oct. 11 in California. She was 79.

A friend of the late star told People that Keaton’s health rapidly declined “very suddenly” and unexpectedly in the months leading up to her death, calling it “heartbreaking for everyone who loved her.”

A source told the outlet that Keaton was “surrounded only by her closest family, who chose to keep things very private” during her final months.

“Even longtime friends weren’t fully aware of what was happening,” the insider added.

The Oscar winner kept her health issues private and appeared happy and healthy while snuggling with her dog in her final Instagram post, which was shared in April.

In a statement, Keaton’s family confirmed she died from pneumonia.

“The Keaton family are very grateful for the extraordinary messages of love and support they have received these past few days on behalf of their beloved Diane,” they said.

Keaton’s relatives added, “She loved her animals and she was steadfast in her support of the unhoused community, so any donations in her memory to a local food bank or an animal shelter would be a wonderful and much appreciated tribute to her.”

“Still, there are her movies. And her great laugh still echoes in my head.”
