Reese Witherspoon gives rare update on pal Jennifer Aniston’s relationship with ex Brad Pitt

Reese Witherspoon gave a rare update on her longtime friend Jennifer Aniston’s relationship with ex-husband Brad Pitt.

“She’s not who people think she is — like, holding onto old things. She’s not holding onto old things,” Witherspoon, 49, insisted on Monday’s episode of the “Armchair Expert” podcast.

The remark prompted host Dax Shepard, 50, to note, “She’s not ‘pining for Brad Pitt.'”

Witherspoon agreed with the comment and added, “And by the way, at her 50th birthday — one of the biggest testaments I can say to what a wonderful person she is — people from her teenage years, people from her 20s, people who work in her home, every ex-husband, ex-boyfriend was there.”

Page Six previously revealed that Pitt, 61, and even his ex-fiancée, actress Gwyneth Paltrow, celebrated Aniston’s 50th birthday with her in February 2019.

“She just is a high spiritual-integrity person,” Witherspoon said of her “Morning Show” co-star, whom she’s known for 25 years.

The “Legally Blonde” star confirmed Shepard’s “correct” assertion that Aniston, 56, is “not a burner of bridges.”

Though Witherspoon claimed that she doesn’t hold grudges either, she explained that she and the “Friends” star are “very different people.”

“She’s really warm and welcoming. She’s, like, a big host. Like, ‘come over!’ She’s very warm and friendly,” the actress shared. “I think I’m more, like, nerdy.”

Aniston — who just went Instagram-official with her new boyfriend, hypnotist Jim Curtis — was married to fellow actor Pitt from 2000 to 2005.

She was then married to actor Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2018, and the two remain pals to this day.

The Emmy winner has also famously dated John Mayer, Vince Vaughn, Paul Rudd and Jon Stewart, among others.
