Laya is so determined to be hard-done by. She’s literally in the world looking to be a victim. Has made it into a career. Self fulfilling prophecy - nothing to do with her gender. Apart from that, loved this podcast
Season 2 - why such irritating music??!

I want to start by saying I loved season 1 and thought it was great storytelling on a really underreported issue. But why is there such terrible music and distracting sound under season 2??!! It feels so incongruous to the story and really unbearable to listen to. I’m only on episode 1 but can’t get into it at all it’s so distracting! Skipped ahead to a few other episodes to check and it’s still there! Argh!
Enjoyed Season 1 - But narrative style of Season 2 is exhausting and like nails on a chalkboard….

Is the goal to make me feel like I’m not anesthetized during surgery too? Because that what it feels like to listen to season 2. Who thought this was an engaging way to present an important story? We’re not going to hear more from this review, instead we see me push fingers deep into my ears until the ear drums burst.
