New Glenn

After several days of delays due to technical issues and weather, New Glenn, from Florida and entered an orbit around Earth. With data gathering as its only goal, Blue Origin has gathered plenty on both the booster and upper stage.

New Glenn rocket no earlier than 1:00 A.M. ET Thursday. With weather once again a concern, we’ll have to see if we get into the countdown or if the company will pull the plug early this evening.

Starship Flight 7 due to poor weather in the area. They are not the only ones dealing with weather concerns this week either. Starship is now set to launch no earlier than January 16 at 4:00 p.m. CT.

Monday and Tuesday morning, New Glenn rocket on its inaugural mission. However, neither ended with the rocket leaving the launch pad, so why did they scrub?

Last night Blue Origin scrubbed its attempt to launch its first New Glenn rocket. The company announced it will be reattempting to launch the rocket during tonight’s window of the same time. Weather, however, is currently at 70% chance of violation, potentially adding to another delay past Wednesday.

Update: Blue Origin announced a delay to January 16.

After roughly two hours of delays, New Glenn. This was to be expected, as large rockets can be quite difficult to get launched for the first time. What wasn’t expected, or what should have been expected given past streams, was the lack of information throughout the night as to what was happening.

Later tonight, we’re expecting launch.

For years, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.

It’s not very often a brand new rocket debuts from the Space Coast, at most a once-a-year ordeal. But here we are, static fire done, droneship… I mean, Landing Platform departing, and a TFR putting New Glenn‘s inaugural launch potentially early next week.

It has been a busy year full of rocket launches, broken records, and new developments. While years past have been about the possibilities of what is to come, 2024 was about seeing those renderings come to life. Here are our top developments stories from 2024.

FAA, allowing it to finally make its dreams a reality and light the New Glenn candle.

We are finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel for the first flight of sitting at its launch pad in Florida.

One of the more successful Space SPACs of recent years, AST SpaceMobile announced it has secured a multi-launch contract with New Glenn rocket to deploy the Block 2 Bluebird satellites in 2025 and 2026.

This week, New Glenn rocket to the pad for launch. On Thursday, the company fueled up its New Glenn second stage and conducted a 15-second risk reduction static fire.

Port Canaveral earlier today. Named after Jeff Bezos’ mother, Jacklyn, it will support at-sea landings and recoveries of the company’s New Glenn rocket.

Wednesday Kennedy Space Center‘s gates. We aren’t certain how much of this booster is flight hardware, however, the more hardware we see the higher we believe chances of a launch this year is possible.

Spotted up above in a fly over, the first potential flight hardware of New Glenn rocket might have just been seen near the company’s Florida rocket factory. The hardware appears to be a part of New Glenn’s first stage, sporting a clean coat of paint.

A New Glenn launch could come no earlier than August 2024. NASA expects its ESCAPADE mission to be on top of that rocket, but is less confident in the launch date.
